Publisher Koei Tecmo reported on results its work in the third quarter of the fiscal year ended December 31.
Worldwide shipments Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity since the premiere of the project last November exceeded the mark of 3.5 million copies (+500 thousand since November)… This makes the Nintendo Switch exclusive the most successful Warriors in its history. According to the publisher, the original Hyrule warriors, released on Wii U, found nearly a million buyers in the first four months.
Overall, Koei Tecmo managed to post record financial results in the third quarter (three months ended December 31, 2023). The company’s operating profit reached a record high of $ 105 million.
Shipments of other games of the publisher for the reporting quarter:
- Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy – 220,000 copies (for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Switch in Japan and Asia);
- Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV: Diplomacy and Strategy Expansion Pack Bundle – 100,000 copies (for PlayStation 4, Switch and PC (Steam) in Japan and Asia).
As for the action Nioh 2 for Playstation 4, which debuted back in March 2023, then it sold in circulation in 1.4 million copies as of December 31st.
