Activision Explains How Metro Trains Will Work In Call of Duty: Warzone after adding them to battle royale. The new sixth season in Modern Warfare / Warzone kicks off on Tuesday, September 29th. Players will find seven metro stations that will be located around the entire map of Verdansk.
According to a new blog post, the stations themselves won’t be large in size, but their impact on the course of the fight could be decisive.
So, at the beginning of each round, players will have access to explore only a few metro stations. According to Activision, they will all have a similar layout and a large amount of useful loot can be found there.
The trains themselves will run around Verdansk in arbitrary directions and offer gamers a fast travel system. In addition, trains will not move to stations that are outside the narrowing circle, so as not to send players to certain death.
The metro will also stop moving if the conflict takes place on board or between the train and the platform. Activision said it intends to make the metro “the only truly safe area“where players can recharge, exchange items, or simply take a break after fights.
The fire escapes, which can be found at every subway station, can be used as an alternative entrance to the fast travel system, or as an emergency exit if the battle gets too fierce.
In addition to the subway, in the sixth season, the creators will add into the game of new operators Faro and Nikolai.
The new 20GB patch is already available for pre-download on PS4 consoles, but in order to download it, you will need about 60GB of free space. The start of the sixth season is scheduled for September 29 at 09:00 Moscow time.
According to producer Infinity Ward Paula Hiley, the developers are still working to reduce the amount of space required to run shooters.
“Our priority is not only to reduce the total file size of your hard drives by MW & WZ shooters, but also to create new seasons,” Hailey said.
