At the end of January, the movie “Sonic in the cinema” was released in cinemas. The path of the picture to the viewer was thorny – even before the premiere, it was criticized for the appearance of the main character, and then journalists wrote in reviews about the banality of the plot, the abundance of cliches and other problems. Cybersport.ru editor Dmitry Craft Murr does not agree with critics: he believes that adults are too biased in evaluating a film designed specifically for children.
Frankly, I’m not a big fan of Sonic and everything connected with him. Like many of you, in childhood I often stuck in platformers with a blue hedgehog on consoles, but these games were just “one of many”. With the later parts of the series and even more so with Sonic cartoons, I was not familiar at all. It certainly does not make me a franchise expert, but it puts me on a par with the target audience of the picture.
Before the session, I tried to ignore everything that I had heard about Sonic, and look at the film through the eyes of a six-year-old child. So the picture really looks much more positive than journalists write about it. Yes, Sonic in the Cinema does not pamper the audience with a complicated plot and deep immersion in the ENT, but is this necessary at all? Bright character, relevant humor and good action – with this, “Sonic” is all right.
