Steven Spielberg’s studio makes a movie deal with Netflix – Igromania

Studio Steven Spielberg Amblin Partners closed a deal with Netflix about the joint production of new films.

A couple of years ago, the director was considered a skeptic about projects on streaming services, but since then he has already managed to collaborate with Apple and now it’s turn Netflix. Earlier, the author, according to rumors, tried not to miss the films of the service on “Oscar”but Spielberg later rejected this information.

The new deal will coexist with another agreement between Amblin and Universal – the director himself will choose for whom this or that new project is created. Netflix is expected to release multiple films a year – not necessarily from Spielberg himself, of course.

Netflix and Amblin have already collaborated before, although not at the same level – for example, the service came out “The Trial of the Chicago Seven”, Which was produced by the latter.
