Square Enix will release anime based on the iconic JPRG The World Ends with You - review

Square enix announced an unusual project. The company will release anime The world ends with you based on the eponymous cult role-playing game. Cartoon adaptation will be presented during the event Anime Expo Liteto be held July 3-4.

A site has already been opened for the future anime, but so far there is nothing on it except a timer and a warning that there are only seven days left before the official presentation. The World Ends with You will be showing two days, July 3 and 4, the broadcasts will begin at 4:00 Moscow time.

The World Ends with You came out on Nintendo DS in 2008 and became incredibly popular: it was the absolute leader in sales for DS in the United States. Over time, it was released on iOS and Android, and then a version appeared The World Ends with You: Final Remix for Nintendo Switch.

The game takes place simultaneously in two worlds: the real and the world of the dead, and both of them represent the Tokyo area of Shibuya. The deceased can give back the most valuable things they had during their lifetime, and for this they can get the right to participate in dangerous games. And the winner will get a chance for a second life or ascension.
