Finnish studio Housemarque became one of the latest acquisitions Playstation studios… The companies worked together on Returnal, which the platform holder now calls nothing other than “mega-hit”.
On the official website of the Sony gaming division, the PlayStation Studios page has been updated, where the publisher has added Housemarque. The team’s description reads: “The studio behind the mega-hit Returnal.” It looks like the platform owner is more than happy with the success of the game. Apparently, and financially, it also became successful, so the next Housemarque project will not be long in coming.
Returnal is a roguelike shooter where environments, equipment and enemies change with each cycle, forcing players to adapt to new challenges.
The project was released at the end of April exclusively on PS5.
