Sony has released several new videos that are designed to help players understand some of the intricacies of the PlayStation 5. In addition, the videos also revealed a number of functions of the console’s operating system that were not previously reported.
Adjusting the tactile feedback and intensity of the DualSense triggers:
- Users will be able to adjust the sensitivity of the tactile feedback of the controller and the intensity of the effect of the triggers in the system options. The parameters are adjustable in four levels: strong, medium, weak or off.
Adjusting power settings in rest mode:
- The console has several standby modes: optimized with downloading updates, remote switching on the console and the ability to charge gamepads, and energy saving. In the second case, the PS5 will consume less than 0.5W, but some functions, like downloading updates and charging controllers, are disabled. Also, users will be able to independently configure the rest mode by choosing which functions to enable.
Game presets:
- The Game Presets option will allow you to run games with preferred settings such as difficulty, control options, performance mode or resolution mode, first or third person view, subtitles, audio, and so on. Presets will be available only in those projects where developers add support for this function.
Sign in to PlayStation Network with QR code:
- Users will be able to log into their PSN account manually by typing in a password and mail, or by a QR code.
Awards:
- The user profile will display not only lists of trophies, but also in-game prizes received for unlocking them.
