Company Sony Interactive Entertainment officially announced the next generation PlayStation VR for console Playstation 5 and shared the first details of the device.
According to the information published on the PlayStation Blog, when designing PlayStation VR 2 engineers Sony build on the experience and knowledge gained since the original PSVR was released for PS4 and improved all key aspects, including resolution, field of view, motion tracking and controls. The same goes for the connection method – the new VR headset will connect to the PS5 with just one cable, simplifying set-up and improving usability while delivering high image quality.
A new VR controller will also be available with PSVR 2, supporting some functional features DualSence and characterized by increased ergonomics.
Sony noted that PlayStation VR next generation still in development, so don’t expect a release this year… At the same time, some studios have already begun to create “new virtual worlds” that players can explore using PSVR 2.
