Japanese company Sony informed the players that due to the increased load on the Internet infrastructure in the world, it was decided to reduce the maximum available download speed of applications from Playstation store. This is stated in a recent press release.
The initiative will affect users in Europe and the United States of America. As the company explained, the further development of events is difficult to calculate, therefore measures were taken to ensure the stability of all services. However, the restrictions affect only the download, for which the platform holder apologizes.
“Please stay home and stay safe,” the statement said.
It is worth noting that previously Sony has already announced a decrease in speed for residents of Europe. Perhaps the company continues to offload the server.
