Song of Horror Review – Episode 5: The Horror and the Song

The final episode of the history of the damned casket Song of Horror – Episode 5: The Horror and The Song demanded from the creators an extra two months of work, due not only to the complexity of the narrative, but also to quarantine restrictions.

Having completed the investigation of the damned concert, the protagonist of the story, Daniel, continues to rummage through diaries and documents scattered over time in attempts to find the answer to the main question: how to destroy the creation of evil and return peace to our world?

A possible clue is in an abandoned psychiatric hospital, where one of the three available characters of your choice is sent.

The elements of research traditional for the game here focus on solving puzzles, one of which caused so many questions that the authors were forced to publish their own passage.

Otherwise, everything is more traditional: you examine the sinister corridors, put your ear to the door, fearing the darkness, and are engaged in the search for key objects.

As an additional incentive, the game with an enviable frequency throws up another test for you – from sinister ghosts to monsters climbing from the doorway.

However, the repetition of traps and monsters from the previous parts, although it causes slight disappointment, but still supports you in a game tone.

The puzzles themselves, apart from the already mentioned tasks with the code, are more familiar. You follow the instructions in the verses or try to fix the system from water heating.

It is noteworthy that Song of Horror – Episode 5: The Horror and The Song completely lost the whole halo of danger and fear. Opponents are more annoying than terrifying or worrying.

In addition, the game has changed the difficulty. Now at the minimum level you can replay the scene and not lose the hero.

The very end of the story tightly weaves characters from past parts, adds new ones and demonstrates all the budget and time spent on production.

The ending, although it answers most of the questions, opens up the possibility of continuing.
