Team TES Renewal published a new diary of modification developers Skywindwhich carries Morrowind to the updated engine Skyrim special edition…
The video touched upon the following aspects of the development process:
- Concept art. The authors point out that all the basic concepts are almost ready, including the concepts of weapons, armor, creatures and architecture. The command now shifts focus to loading screens and textures. Each book will receive a unique cover.
- 3D models. The authors have recently completed work on the architecture of the city of Vivec.
- Level design. Over the past year, the designers have completed over 100 dungeons and interiors. Dungeons will be larger than in the original game, and will receive new secrets, traps and treasures.
- Programming. The main focus remains the implementation of quests with different paths of passage.
- Animations. The team chose three main areas: idle animations for NPCs, weapon animations, and creature animations.
- Sound design. The authors create weather effects for various architectural materials and work on the sounds of combat, weapons and spells.
- Voice acting of characters. More than 35 thousand voiced phrases have already been added to the project.
- Testing. Over the past year, testers have been working on interiors, checking the behavior of NPCs and creatures, as well as lighting.
Recall that the development of Skywind began back in 2012 along with the development of the modification Skyblivion… The latter is being worked on by another TES Renewal team, which is transferring Oblivion to the Skyrim engine.
Both versions still do not have release dates.
