Silent Hills from Hideo Kojima will be back?

Official Twitter Account Kojima productions posted a message hinting at some upcoming announcement. Moreover, the tweet wording and another detail that attentive users have noticed could potentially tease the return Silent hills. At least some fans think so.

Start with the fact that in the tweet the community manager Aki Saito on behalf of the Japanese studio, he apologized to the fans for a long silence and promised to soon tell a little more about “what they are going to …”. On this, the message text breaks off, however, a photograph was attached to the post, which served as a pretext for the theory.

The picture was of high enough quality to make it clear the phrase “Next Week!” Written on a pack of stickers. Noticing this, users began to search for other hidden hints in the tweet. Fans decided that the mention of the word “silence” (“silence”; in the original – silent) in the context of the message is a hint at the Silent Hill series, and if you look closely at the pencil that Saito holds in the photo, you can see Pyramid. This common pencil designation in this case may be a reference to the Pyramid Head from the same Silent Hill, fans say.

Interestingly, immediately after the appearance of the tweet Kojima Productions, the creator of the Pyramid Head and the designer of monsters of the first three Silent Hill games Masahiro Ito left a mysterious post on the social network in which he referred to the death of this character. Back in 2017, he said that he would not hesitate to join the development team of the new Silent Hill, but only if there was no Pyramid Head in the game or if he was killed in the introduction, and at the beginning of this year announced that he was working on a new project, expressing hope that it will not be canceled. Then users suggested that the last words could be a reference in the direction of Silent Hills, which just did not live up to the release.

So the main question is: Is Kojima Productions working on the new Silent Hill? It’s probably hard to say now, but here it’s worth recalling recent reports claiming that relations between Hideo Kojima and Konami have improved in recent years, and now the company is allegedly preparing two parts of Silent Hill at once by third-party studios. Konami herself did not confirm these rumors, but she did not refute either, noting that she listens to fans and considering returning the series. Kojima meanwhile sprinkles hints that his next game Could become a chorus.
