Studio Mass creation announced the release date of its side-scrolling action movie Shing!… The game launches on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on August 28. It is also planned to be released on Xbox One, but the date of this release remains unknown.
In their new diary, the developers talked about how they are trying to find a balance between accessibility and ease of entry for beginners, and at the same time variety and complexity. For them the task is compounded by the fact that for Shing! an unusual control scheme was selected.
Players do not have to press the buttons to attack: all attacks, and at the same time blocks and defenses are done by tilting the right stick. The animation is designed so that all movements flow smoothly into each other, and players do not have to memorize combos to build a beautiful fight.
Thanks to the created combat system, any beginner can use a dozen different combos from the first minutes, feeling that he is in complete control of his character. And at later stages, when the enemies become stronger, players are invited to stop and think about how to plan the entire battle, taking into account the interaction of opponents.
