Studio Astronauts published on her website another blog about creating a shooter Witchfire… In a rather long note, the creative director of the studio Adrian Chmelarz talked about what the developers have been doing for the last few months, and it seems that during this time the team faced some difficulties that turned out to be more difficult than originally anticipated.
The authors note that recently development has been mainly related to tools and basic things, and therefore for an ordinary user the progress may not seem so significant, but the game is being created and is gradually moving forward. All work went under the hood, which should pay off in the future.
“A lot of work has been done, mostly necessary, but there is almost nothing to show. I mean things that are created with benefit for the future, like ready-made assemblies, improved frame rates and tools to speed up development. […] But not everything is so sad and gloomy. It’s been two weeks since we’ve been back to adding new content and features. I can’t wait to show you what the witch’s world looks like, our new elite enemy, how weapons and spells work, or the unique gameplay system we have. “
However, the most interesting for players, perhaps, were three new screenshots from Witchfire. The images show several different locations to be visited in the game…
Witchfire was announced back in 2017 but still doesn’t even have an estimated release date.
