Shipbreaker talked about spacecraft recycling – review

Blackbird interactive published a new developer diary in which authors Hardspace: shipbreaker talked in more detail about the most important element of the game – disposal of spacecraft.

In the center of the plot is the LYNX Corporation, which moves humanity to ever farther reaches of space. The company is building huge electromagnetic gates that allow ships to travel to other planets in the solar system.

Players have to take on the role of the utilizer of these ships, however, the authors call him “a surgeon in zero gravity.” There will be two main tools in the arsenal of gamers: a laser cutter and a gravitational hook that can be used to move both large pieces of metal and the main character.

As you progress through the game, players will pump these tools, making them more powerful and accurate. Also, over time, gamers will be able to dispose of larger ships. Dismantling them will be more difficult and dangerous, but you can get more money for the parts. In addition, players were given complete freedom to choose a disposal method.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker Coming in Early Access Steam already June 16, and the full version will get not only to the PC, but also to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
