Shadow Warrior 3 explains how Shadow Warrior 2 ended – review addiction

Shadow Warrior 3 events begin sometime after the finale Shadow warrior 2 – at the same time we will find out exactly what happened to Lo Wang. And although separate lines of the plots of the first two parts converge in the game, the narrative is built so that the story is understandable to beginners.

Instead of open and procedurally generated locations, Shadow Warrior 3 focuses on action dynamics, so it’s more like a rail shooter. The creators want the players not to stop for a minute, even in order to listen to the dialogs.

The world itself is moving away from the concept of futurism in order to look more like “classical” Asia. The fictional country of Onishima is a cross between ancient China and Japan. And they decided to refuse from cyberpunk Tokyo, so as not to go in the wake of fashion.

The weapon system was redesigned, and players will be able to use the options that have not yet been presented, new to the series. The main attention was paid to the hero’s katana: they even provided a special button for her so that she could instantly switch between close combat and firearms.

In Shadow Warrior 3, the developers used their old idea: each enemy can become a source of a special ability for the player. In the trailer, the hero pulls out a crystal from the shaman, with the help of which he freezes opponents, or a bone hammer. These special skills last for a while. But it has not yet been finally decided what the hero must accomplish in order to get such a gift.

Shadow Warrior 3 is due out in 2023 on PC. Probably, it will also appear on consoles.
