Within the framework of the quarterly report Ubisoft made several important statements, including announcing the approximate timing of the second show Forward – it is expected in September.
Another major announcement was that Ubisoft games for the next generation of consoles will not rise in price – at least this fall. And PS4 and Xbox One customers will receive free updates for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Also from the report, it became known about the company’s record revenue for the period from April to June – compared to the same period last year, they grew by 30% to $ 475 million. At the same time, no new games were released at all.
This was achieved thanks to the growth of revenue Rainbow six siege by 30%, sales of old parts Assassin’s creed and Just Dance – the revenue from sales of the latter during the pandemic increased by more than 500%!
In addition, Ubisoft is working on a massive improvement in the work environment after all the harassment scandals, for example by providing an anonymous platform for complaints and adding bonuses to management for creating a positive atmosphere.
