Schreier: Anthem 2.0 May Be Finalized This Week

Co-op action RPG Anthem was developed by the studio BioWare and released in February 2019, receiving mostly negative reviews. BioWare then decided to assemble a small development team to overhaul the failed game.

Last summer, the executive producer of the project Christian Daly talked about some of the planned changes, but left the Anthem team in December due to a reshuffle in BioWare’s leadership team, questioning the future of the project.

Nonetheless, EA guide will review the latest version this week Anthem next and decides whether to expand the team or abandon the project altogether, closing it once and for all

At the moment, about 30 people are working on the restart of Anthem, but people familiar with the game say that the development team needs to be at least tripled so that they can create new content and work on further project updates. Electronic Arts itself has not yet decided whether it is ready to allocate such resources to revive the game with a completely damaged reputation.

A company spokesman said the company will not comment on “rumors and speculation”

Anthem Next should include major changes to the core game systems and user interface. It is not yet clear whether these innovations will be introduced into the current version of the project and when it will happen if all plans remain in place.
