Samsung previously released a foldable smartphone this year, however Galaxy Z Flip not a successor Galaxy fold. It is rather a different view of the form factor. Now, as reported SamMobile, the company plans to introduce a new version of such a device this year. So far, it is known as the Galaxy Fold 2, but this is not an official name.
Apparently, it will be cheaper than the first model and easier in some aspects. The novelty is credited with a larger folding display – up to 7.7 inches. In the current model, the diagonal is 7.3 inches. And the front camera will be embedded directly into it, that is, they will refuse the curtains.
It also talks about the maximum permanent memory of 256 GB (the first model has 512 GB), a camera with Galaxy S20 + and 5G support.
As expected, Galaxy Fold 2 will be shown in late summer or early fall, but exact dates have not yet been announced. The source does not exclude that the novelty can be shown simultaneously with Galaxy Note 20 in August.
