The survey involved 2328 people, of whom 59.8% began to stay longer for games. Moreover, for 47% of this number, the average time spent in virtual worlds increased by an hour or more.
In addition, 23.5% reported that they began to watch more various e-sports programs and broadcasts, and 21% became more involved in online tournaments.
According to Mikhail Pimenov, director of the development of educational programs at the faculty of gaming industry and e-sports of Synergy, Mikhail Pimenov, this is expected. He noted that due to self-isolation, the number of players will only grow, as will the time spent online.
