All over the world, service subscribers can now activate a free copy of the remaster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, however, users from Russia got a friendly “Madmen“.
The players did not appreciate such a move and began to show their dissatisfaction on various platforms: both on Twitter and VKontakte, and even created a petition on Change.org.
The video with the announcement of the selection on the Russian PlayStation channel has collected a record number of dislikes – 17 thousand with 572 likes. And this is with 67 thousand views: every fourth viewer pressed the “I don’t like” button.
Moreover, users began to criticize Sony’s decision on foreign PlayStation channels, noting that the replacement, to put it mildly, is not equivalent.
At the same time, a banner with a free Modern Warfare 2 “hangs” right now on the main page of the web version of the PlayStation Store. When clicked, it goes to the PS Plus page with the games of the month – there is now a selection for July: NBA 2K20, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Erica.
We requested a comment from the Russian PlayStation office about the replacement of games immediately after the announcement of the latest PS Plus collection, but so far we have not received any response.
