YouTube blogger Chaos first introduced the gameplay video mode Warzone for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Most of the initial leaks, including fall information, have been confirmed.
This is a cross-platform Royal Battle, which will be available for review absolutely free. Chaos said that the creators will add one of the largest maps in the genre. As is the case with Black Ops 4, the location in Warzone resembles a patchwork quilt collected from old multiplayer maps from Infinity Warfare. However, there are enough zones made from scratch, and when arranging objects, the team tried to avoid copying identical buildings.
Despite the fact that initially rumors circulated that 200 people could be in Warzone at the same time, in the final version the figure was reduced to 150. However, in the future, developers can increase the ceiling to 200 players. Three modes are available: solo, pairs and triples.
Chaos claims that contrary to expectations, the gameplay itself turned out to be very fast and fleeting. This is due to the refinement of the rules (instead of a storm, it is necessary to run away from gas) and due to the processing of the mechanics of loot selection. Moreover, at the start of the character is available a gun, not fists, which also positively affects the dynamics.
There are killstrikes in Warzone, but they must be bought at special stations. There you can also buy special tokens for the revival of partners. The second option for reviving the character is to get out of the zone called the Gulag (several variations are available). Rumors were confirmed: after the first death, the player ends up in a special camp. To get out of there, you need to win with another prisoner. If your partner is in the Gulag, you can watch the fight, give clues about the whereabouts of the enemy and throw stones. However, at some point the Gulag becomes inaccessible.
Military equipment has not gone anywhere: helicopters, ATVs, jeeps, trucks and so on are available. The armor system has also changed and resembles the battlefield from Battlefield (you need to install armor plates, which are divided into three types of quality).
Chaos also mentioned that the developers will add an additional team mode with the revival of players, in which teams (in each of four to five people) will collect money. Streamer also highlighted the shortcomings: he is worried about the possible spam killstriks as well as gameplay in the final stages of the fight.
