As a result, the studio began writing a new script with other writers, which should be “a completely new beginning for the franchise” without Sigourney Weaver, Michael Fassbender and other heroes of the past parts.
According to the first possible details, the plot of the new film will tell about a group of colonists who fled from their world, which was considered free from the control of galactic companies and governments. Trying to find a new home for themselves, they stumble upon a planet that at first glance seems suitable and not inhabited by other life forms. The main character should be the girl Fiona, who is prescribed as an actress with a type Mary Elizabeth Winstead… The heroine has been learning to survive all her life and, unlike her idealistic comrades-in-arms, she looks at things realistically. The people aboard her ship have been looking for a home for too long and become desperate, but Fiona is a researcher and knows that procedures and protocols must be followed. This puts her at odds with the rest of the team.
As in all other parts of “Alien”, at some point in the plot, eggs, face huggers and xenomorphs appear. But what will set the new film apart from the others is Fiona’s storyline with raising an “henchman” alien. Studying the face-hijackers, she manages to catch one, incubate and raise an adult xenomorph from him. The born individual becomes attached to her and acts as a protector against another xenomorph, in the end sacrificing himself for the sake of saving the heroine. Mention is made of the Alien versus Alien battle, unique for the series.
This is still an early draft, so some details may change, but Disney is said to have liked the simplicity of the plot and its dissimilarity.
