Rockstar Games decided to help the victims of the coronavirus, but many players criticized it

Company Rockstar games announced that it will send 5% microtransaction sales revenue in GTA Online and Red dead online for April and May 2023 to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

“These funds will be used to assist local communities and businesses struggling with the impact of COVID-19, both directly and by supporting some organizations that help those affected by this crisis,” the company said in a statement.

However, despite the good intentions of the company, this initiative was negatively received by many players. The comments indicate that developers who own such profitable franchises could immediately donate a round sum to fight the pandemic, instead of essentially inviting the audience to make in-game purchases for charity.

However, an even more important question is of concern to commentators: “When is the announcement of Grand Theft Auto VI?”
