In late October, it became known that a leading character artist had joined the studio. Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardiansand it now appears that Retro Studios has filed an outsourcing request.
In the list of studio vacancies you can find one interesting detail. The company is going to attract an outsourcing specialist. The announcement states that at Retro Studios, a temporary artist requires an environmental artist who will test outsourced work. On LinkedIn, it is mentioned that this position requires the ability to monitor the work done on outsourcing and its compliance with the standards and requirements of the company.
Outsourcing is a fairly common occurrence in the industry that can help significantly speed up game development.
