Resident Evil with new faces – Capcom horror movie relaunch cast revealed

Deadline has shared new details of the full-length reboot Resident evil from Constantin Film Studio. At the same time, the main members of the cast of the film were confirmed.

  • Claire Redfield – Kaya Scodelario (“The Maze Runner”)

  • Chris Redfield – Robbie Amell (“Loading”)

  • Leon Kennedy – Evan Jogia (“Victorious”)

  • Jill Valentine – Hannah John-Kamen (“Ant-Man and the Wasp”)

  • Albert Wesker – Tom Hopper (“Umbrella Academy”)

The new picture will tell about the events of 1998 that took place in Raccoon City. According to the director Johannes Roberts (“Blue Abyss 1-2”), the film will be a faithful adaptation of the first two parts of Capcom’s survival horror

“With this film, I really wanted to go back to the first two games and try to recreate the inner feelings of fear that I experienced when I first played them, but at the same time tell a down-to-earth human story about a small dying American town that will be close and relevant for the modern viewer “.

Producer Robert Kulzer added:

“After a dozen games, six action films and hundreds of pages of fanfiction, we felt compelled to return to 1998 to explore the secrets hidden within the walls of the Spencer mansion and Raccoon City.”

The dates of the start of filming and the release of the film have not yet been announced. In addition to him, there are now two series in development: an animated one, which will enter the game canon of the series, and with live actors. Both are being developed exclusively for Netflix.
