Resident Evil 3 receives Denuvo’s latest anti-piracy protection

It became known that the expected action horror game by many players Resident evil 3studio developed by Capcom, received the most advanced Denuvo protection system.

Capcom has indicated on the Resident Evil 3 page on Steam that the game will use Denuvo’s anti-piracy protection system. According to Gamebomb.ru, thus, the new part, as well as a remake of Resident Evil 2, will be protected at the start from hacking. It is worth noting that the second part did not help much and a week after the release it was hacked and lay on torrents. Therefore, it is not known how much the latest version of Denuvo protection can last.

It is also worth noting that Capcom ultimately removed the Denuvo protection from the Resident Evil 2 horror, although almost only a year after the hack. Immediately after that, some tests were carried out, which showed that the remake of Resident Evil 2 without Denuvo protection works a little better. Therefore, it is not clear whether the new version of the protection system will affect the performance of the new part of Resident Evil 3. It is possible that the Capcom studio will sooner or later remove Denuvo from this game if it is still hacked.

According to Gamebomb.ru, the release of the action game Resident Evil 3 from the Capcom studio is scheduled for April 3, 2023 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
