Remake of Final Fantasy VII topped English retail charts, but it’s not so simple

Remake Final Fantasy VII managed to lead the weekly charts of English retail, despite the logistical problems, the closure of the stores themselves and other problems in the country.

Unfortunately, the starting circulation of the novelty turned out to be half as much Final Fantasy XV, which was released during the New Year holidays of 2016, which, of course, helped her a lot, not to mention the release on two platforms at once.

However, now the share of digital purchases, especially during the pandemic, is much higher, so it is still too early to draw conclusions about the results of the new product. It is worth noting, however, that Finalka managed to double the sales of the first week of the remake Resident evil 3, and he came out immediately on three platforms.

In general, annual retail sales are growing, but mainly due to old games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, FIFA 20, The last of us, Forza horizon 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn. The latter are sold in kits with consoles.
