Officially company Sony has never commented on Death Stranding sales. Hideo Kojima himself said this spring that the experimental project was able to recoup production and marketing costsbecoming “successful“.
Obviously, Kojima’s game was not sold with a print run of The Last of Us, Spider-Man and God of War. If there is no mistake, “record” probably means sales above Sony’s own internal expectations.
Premiere Death stranding took place in 2019 on console Playstation 4… Later it was ported to a PC.
