  • Long-term platform: in the future it will be possible to install a processor level into the motherboard without any problems Ryzen 5 3600… It will work flawlessly – but do not forget that such an upgrade is possible only with the purchase of a discrete graphics card. The Ryzen 5 3600 lacks integrated graphics.
  • Decent memory. Be careful about her: Samsung produces a wide range of memory, and you need to choose exactly the one that we have listed above. It is she who is almost guaranteed to take 3200 MHz with CL16 under overclocking. All you need is a free program Ryzen DRAM Calculator, 1.45 V voltage for DIMM modules (DRAM Voltage, VDRAM, VDIMM) and one to two days of time. Overclocking is essential – let’s repeat, substantially – will increase the performance of the PC in general, and especially in games, because the built-in video core Ryzen 2200G uses RAM as a video buffer, and the faster the better.
  • A decent cooler with a backplate and a reliable mount, and therefore a clamp. You don’t have to change it when upgrading to the substantially hotter Ryzen 3600.

Cons of assembly

  • Not the most ventilated case with one 120mm blower fan. But this is on the one hand – on the other, it is the most affordable and at the same time not bad in quality case with tempered glass. For our system, which will practically not be heated, it fits perfectly.
  • Noisy PSU with no modular design and mustard and ketchup style wires. The wires are not bad, they can be hidden, but the turntable will howl. In power supplies of this price category, manufacturers use not the highest quality bearings and, in addition, do not equip the units with a passive cooling function.
  • Only 8 GB of memory. When upgrading to the Ryzen 5 3600, you will have to buy two more modules.

Balanced system for AAA games

The second PC on the list will be collected primarily for single AAA games: Cyberpunk 2077, Red dead redemption 2, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order etc. Target resolutions are 1920×1080 and 2560×1440. Graphics settings – Ultra. Which hardware should you choose? The answer is simple. Almost any modern project running at maximum graphics settings, especially in QHD, will one way or another run into the performance of the video card – which means that we do not need a super-fast processor at all. It will still be idle, waiting for the GPU. We need a solid midrange, and two CPUs are perfect for this role: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and Intel Core i5-10400F.

However, the platform based on AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is more flexible: the motherboard for only 7,500 rubles is already able to offer the buyer all the possibilities of overclocking and tuning. But the Intel 10400F, being 2,000 rubles cheaper than the R5 3600, is deprived of the overclocking capability (the multiplier is locked) – it remains to tune the memory subsystem, but this requires a motherboard based on the Z-chipset, which is at least 11,000 rubles for a frankly bad model. Now let’s talk about a system for an e-sports gamer: a system that is obliged to produce the maximum fps always and everywhere with the minimum possible input lag.

What should you choose? In an amicable way, Ryzen 5 5600X! This is one of the fastest processors on the market, but prices for it remain inadequate, so no matter how good it is, you have to bypass it. AMD Ryzen on architecture Zen 2 they are not suitable for us either: their lag behind Zen 3 and top Comet Lake from Intel is about 19% – and these are only official figures.

Then, probably, Intel? Yes, but which one? Core i5-10600K with Comet Lake architecture for full disclosure requires an expensive motherboard on the Z-chipset, and i5-11600K, although it is built on completely new cores, bypasses its predecessor by some ridiculous percentage – and that is not always and not everywhere. At the same time, it is stable in only one thing: its power consumption is off scale, it heats up a lot, and even the memory subsystem works slower than that of similar CPUs of the previous generation. In general, such an option.

What then to choose? Intel Core i5-11400F… Unlike the 10600K, it supports PCIe Gen. 4, which means you can install the fastest drives in your PC. In addition, we don’t need an ultra-expensive Z-chipset, as Intel’s B-chipsets now give the user complete control over the memory subsystem. As for frequencies, due to aggressive behavior Turbo Boost the speed of 11400F is sufficient. In short, we can safely take the 11400F, and leave the 11600K for overclocking enthusiasts who are ready to shell out a few hundred dollars for a liquid cooling system in exchange for two or three hundred megahertz extra.

Of the video cards that would look appropriate in such a system, we would recommend NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, 3070 and AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT… For owners of 240 and 360 Hz monitors, these are the most suitable options for playing in Full HD with minimal latency and stable fps above 300.

Build pros

  • No upgrade required: the system is completely finished and does not require further investment. Going even to i9-11900K will not give a dramatic increase in fps, but it will require considerable investments in a more serious motherboard and liquid cooling. Therefore, in this case, it is reasonable to purchase the proposed components and use them without any compromises until new platforms with DDR5 memory are released. Now they will be much faster, and you just have to guess the most favorable moment for selling your components and update the entire computer base (CPU, motherboard and memory modules). But only if you think it’s time to refresh the system, of course.
  • Excellent memory from Crucial, as in the previous build. Will fully reveal the capabilities of the CPU and will operate at the maximum frequency of the memory controller Rocket lake… At the moment it is 1866 MHz, that is, 3733 MHz DDR4. Possible CL timing Ballistix u4 at a voltage of 1.45 V at this frequency, it will most likely be either 15 or 16. An excellent indicator.
  • Decent, quiet and more than efficient cooler for the 11400F.

Cons of assembly

  • Comparatively expensive case. However, in fact, this is one of the most affordable models with such an appearance, internal organization of space and, most importantly, such an effective blowing. The latter is especially important, given that there will be a powerful and very hot video card inside.

One of the most difficult categories today in terms of a competent choice of components. On the one hand, moving to eight-core CPUs from the six-cores that underpin almost any system in the budget and mid-range seems logical. On the other hand, such an upgrade will not give any striking differences in gaming performance. Games are quite enough 12 streams – moreover, they are enough with the head. What to do with the remaining processing power? Maybe start streaming it? You can, but keep in mind: eight cores are not always enough for comfortable broadcasting! You can stream comfortably PUBG, Anno 1800, CS: GO, Valorant, Overwatch, Doom eternal and many other games, but when trying to run a thread in parallel with Call of Duty: Warzone problems will begin. It is very active on the processor, so you have to either reduce the quality of the transmitted stream, or fix the fps in the game in order to avoid an unpleasant input lag.

Nevertheless, we are well aware that many people want to buy a PC for a long time and forget about reading articles on choosing hardware. Well, since a larger number of cores is, whatever one may say, a certain margin, we will also consider eight-core models.

There are not so many relevant ones among them: Intel Core i7-10700K, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and Intel Core i7-11700K… The latter is swept aside at once: it manages to lag behind its predecessor in the person of 10700K. Yes, perhaps this is due to the raw BIOS, but we cannot yet give guarantees that the situation will change. We skip this option.

Ryzen 7 5800X also remains overboard: 33 thousand rubles, which are asked for it, is an absolutely abnormal price. 10-core costs the same Intel Core i9-10850K, and he, for a minute, butts on equal terms with Ryzen 9 5900X!

As for the previous generation Ryzen on the Zen 2 architecture, it also remains out of work, since the 10700K is corny faster. Accordingly, we choose 10700K.

In its place, by the way, something like the GeForce RTX 3070 suggests itself, GeForce RTX 3080 or similar in performance AMD Radeon 6700 XT and Radeon 6800 XT… It turns out, of course, a little expensive, but such a system fully meets the requirement “with a margin for the future.”

  • A fast NVMe disk, which is important, since game developers have repeatedly threatened to rethink the principles of streaming textures in games and start using the capabilities of modern SSD to the maximum.
  • Extremely reliable HDDthat should work for years without stopping.
  • An advanced motherboard that unleashes the power of the 10700K. It will also cope with the 10-core 10850K without any problems, with which it will be possible to replace the originally proposed processor. And on its basis, you can already make a full-fledged professional-level streaming system.
  • Chip memory Samsung B-Die, that is, the fastest memory on the market today. Takes the highest frequencies at the lowest timings. For example, 4400 @ CL16 or 4400 @ CL17. Such indicators will allow it to compete with the first revisions of the upcoming DDR5, since each new generation of DDR memory increases frequencies, but it always does so at the expense of greatly overestimated timings. And only at the end of the existence of a generation, they pull out everything they can from the chips, reducing the delays to the limit. Remember: when DDR4 first appeared, 3000 MHz and CL15 modules were considered fast. Now these are rather weak indicators.

Плюсы сборки

  • Ультимативная производительность. По части апгрейда можно предложить только заменить систему охлаждения на кастомную, благо на рынке уже появились полностью готовые комплекты. Достаточно прикрутить пару фитингов и обрезать шланги, в точности следуя лежащей в коробке с СЖО инструкции. Какой в этом смысл? Во-первых, это просто красиво. Во-вторых, чем холоднее ядра Zen 3, тем выше автоматика поднимает их частоту. Кстати, систем воздушного охлаждения мы в этой сборке не предложили осознанно: они либо неэффективны, либо работают на грани и очень сильно шумят. Для топовых Zen 3 система жидкостного охлаждения, к сожалению, уже не роскошь, а скорее необходимость.
  • Ну и второе, что можно сделать с этим ПК, — заменить в нём материнскую плату на ASUS Crosshair VIII Dark Hero с чипсетом X570: получите больше USB-портов и несколько посадочных мест под NVMe… Конкретно её мы советуем потому, что это одна из лучших плат для Ryzen 9, а ещё у неё нет вентилятора на южном мосту. Здесь он охлаждается пассивно, при помощи массивного радиатора. Соответственно, у вас не будет проблем с шумом от вентилятора и с его потенциальным выходом из строя. Вдобавок такой подход к охлаждению искореняет ситуации, в которых работающая вертушка забирает часть прохладного воздуха у стоящей рядом.

Минусы сборки

  • Ваш кошелёк определенно похудеет после приобретения всех нужных компонентов для подобной системы.
