Ready At Dawn will no longer be able to make games for the PlayStation: Facebook bought the authors of The Order: 1886

Facebook bought Ready at dawn, creators of the PS4-exclusive The Order: 1886 and VR adventure games Lone echo. The team has become part of Oculus Studios, where it will develop “memorable, exciting and innovative VR content.”

According to a published press release, after the sale, Ready At Dawn will save all jobs, its offices and continue to work independently, only now with the full support of Facebook and the Oculus Studios team.

Ready at Dawn was founded by former developers of Blizzard Entertainment and Naughty Dog in 2003 and has worked closely with Sony for over 10 years, releasing for it Daxter, God of War: Chains of Olympus, God of War: Ghost of Sparta and The Order: 1886. The latter has become the first and only currently large studio project. After him, Ready at Dawn switched to the release of VR-games for Oculus, so the purchase of the studio was a logical step. Now the developers are engaged in Lone Echo II and worked before on the unannounced console AAA-action, however, what fate awaits him now is unknown.
