Quake reissue compared to original, boxed release confirmed for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch

A video appeared on the network demonstrating the graphical difference between the reissue released yesterday Quake and the original 1996 shooter based on the versions for Xbox series x and PC respectively.

The updated game received support for resolutions up to 4K and widescreen, as well as improved models, depth of field and motion blur effects, ambient occlusion, anti-aliasing, model interpolation, high-resolution color maps, dynamic shadows and aiming with gyroscopes on consoles (PS5 , PS4, Switch).

In addition to the main campaign, the remaster includes two original add-ons The scourge of armagon and Dissolution of Eternity, and two more DLCs from MachineGames: Dimension of the pastreleased in 2016 and brand new Dimension of the machine… There is the possibility of installing add-ons, local and online co-op for up to four players, as well as competitive multiplayer for up to four players on one screen and up to eight players online with support for custom matches, dedicated servers and crossplay on all platforms.

Members Steam or Bethesda Launcher, who already have the original Quake on their account can download the new version for free.

The updated Quake is available on PC, Switch, Xbox One, PS4 and backward compatibility on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S. An optimized patch will be released later for new consoles to add support for 4K @ 120fps.

Followers Xbox Game Pass can download the game for free, and for fans of physical versions will release a limited boxed edition of Quake for Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch from Limited Run Games… Pre-orders will open August 27… There will be three editions to choose from.
