The information came from an FAQ sent out by Double Fine Productions to the sponsors of the game from the FIG crowdfunding platform. The developers noted that some details are still in the approval process, but will do their best to ensure that each system provides the highest quality possible.
“The only thing we can confirm is that HDR will only be available on Xbox Series X and S.”
The company hasn’t explained why HDR won’t appear on other platforms. Perhaps the fact is that the game was originally developed without taking into account HDR, and support for high dynamic range will be achieved through the function Auto HDR, which is only available on the Xbox Series.
