CD Projekt RED introduced Royce as part of a demonstration of the gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2018. The main character V met him in the course of the main plot, visiting the base of the gang Maelstrom. The release of Cyberpunk 2077 was postponed for five months – the game is expected to be released on September 17, 2023 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
