PS5 has not yet been released, and Spider-Man: Miles Morales for it has already started in the UK charts better than Days Gone and Ghost of Tsushima

Company Activision confirmed in a statement for GamesIndustry.biz, what Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War set a record for digital sales in the first day in franchise history… However, as for the physical market, then for the first time in 13 years, the series failed to top the UK chart in its debut week

The first line was taken by Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla… At the same time, analysts have not yet undertaken to say which of them was the first, taking into account digital sales, since due to COVID-19, the game market has changed a lot this year, leaving for AAA releases a larger mass in the digital segment.

At the same time, the initial retail sales of the new Assassin’s Creed were twice as high as in the previous part: approximately 144 thousand copies from Valhalla against about 72 thousand at Odyssey respectively… 42% of the sold circulation was on PS4, 40% on Xbox, and the remaining 18% on PS5, despite the fact that the console itself has not yet gone on sale in the country.

But the boxed release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was 64% worse compared to last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: 130 thousand vs 361 thousand… But, again, the full picture will become known with the publication of the digital charts.

The new Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty and the launch of the next-gen Xbox consoles could have made the past week one of the biggest in the UK, but Sony also contributed by launching the game for Playstation 5 before the release of the console in the region.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales took the third place in the chart, showing one of the largest launches among the games in the PlayStation 5 launch line: 71% of sales came from PS5 and 29% from PS4… Compared to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2018, the new part started in retail 56% worse: 83.6 thousand vs 190 thousand, but even so the game managed to bypass Ghost of tsushima (75 thousand) and Days gone (70 thousand).

Among other PS5 games, the top sellers hit Demon’s Souls (# 6), Sackboy: A Big Adventure (#13) and Godfall (#sixteen). Three more positions were taken by multi-platform novelties: Just Dance 2023 (# 11), Planet Coaster: Console Edition (# 17) and Yakuza: Like A Dragon (# 20).
