It became known that a group of developers for the first time managed to launch a PS4 game on a PC using the emulator they created.
The game was launched using the PS4 emulator called GPCS4, which enthusiasts are still continuing to improve. According to Gamebomb.ru, this emulator is not the only one that is under development. Besides him, there is also Orbital. Both are still at a very early stage of development, however, the latest version of GPCS4 still managed to launch the game. She turned out to be a simple indie shooter called We Are Doomed with simple graphics.
Given that the PS4 emulator on the PC is still at an early stage, the developers note that even such an undemanding game like We Are Doomed experiences some problems and lags quite a lot. Therefore, it is worth noting that in the near future it is unlikely that it will be possible to launch exclusives for PS4 on a PC using GPCS4, such as Death stranding, God of war or Spider-man (“Spider man“). For example, a PS3 emulator called RPCS3 took a long time to run AAA exclusives on a PC. In addition, it will be even more difficult to achieve normal performance in large PS4 games. Nevertheless, you should wait for further news from the creators of the Orbital and GPCS4 emulators.
Recently, Gamebomb.ru wrote that the Last of Us, God of War 3 and other PS3 console exclusives were launched on the RPCS3 emulator. The developers managed to achieve impressive results by increasing the number of frames per second and fixing some graphic bugs in games.
