Premium VR helmet from HP, Valve and Microsoft will be released in the fall – review

Two months ago HP announced the development of a premium VR-helmet, in the creation of which took part Valve and Microsoft.

Now it became known that a device called the HP Reverb G2 will be released in the fall for $ 599. It’s more expensive than the Oculus Rift S ($ 400), but cheaper than the HTC Vive Cosmos ($ 700) and the Valve Index ($ 1000). The kit also includes advanced controllers with sticks.

The helmet itself has two LCD panels with a resolution of 2160 × 2160 with a size of 2.98 inches, a viewing angle of 114 degrees and a 90 Hz refresh rate. There is no 3.5 connector, but built-in headphones are installed – the same as the Valve Index.

The helmet will be released in the fall.
