Jeff Grubb from GamesBeat said that the development of the PlayStation-exclusive WiLD by Michel Ansel, creator of Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil, has been canceled.
Recall that WiLD was announced back in 2014. A year later, the authors showed the first gameplay. WiLD is a survival adventure game set in a primeval world. Players had to take on the role of a shaman who could take over and control various animals.
In September 2023, Michel Ansel announced the end of his career in the gaming industry. Then the French game designer stated that WiLD was in good hands and that development was going very well.
“I think Michel Ansel abandoned the project. He’s not working on it anymore. The project was closed. The team that worked on the game considered trying to stay together to work on other projects.
I don’t know what happened to that, but they said, “We are not working on WiLD anymore, but we have a lot of talent here, so maybe we can work on something.” – Jeff Grubb.
