As part of the Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the release of remaster The Wonderful 101 for Nintendo switch, Playstation 4 and PC Studio Platinum games was able to raise more than $ 1.5 million. Due to the fact that the original plan was exceeded, the authors will add additional content to the reprint that was not in the original.
In particular, users will receive the Time Attack mode, which Hideki Kamiya calls the “speedrunner’s dream”, and Luka’s First Mission side-scrolling adventure about one of the pupils of the main character of the game.
When taking the $ 1.75 million bar, the authors promise to bring a guest composer to work on a remaster – he will be engaged in a remix of the soundtrack. Fees of $ 2 million will allow the studio to expand an additional mode about the adventures of Luke.
Interestingly, the team has not yet announced a game for the Xbox One. The release of the remaster on Switch was guaranteed when taking $ 50 thousand on Kickstarter, PC – $ 250 thousand, PlayStation 4 – $ 500 thousand. In total, PlatinumGames has so far been supported by 23,787 people.
The start of The Wonderful 101 Remastered is expected in April 2023.
