Phil Spencer explains why Microsoft still hasn’t revealed the exact release date of Halo Infinite for Xbox Series X | S

On the earlier this month corporation game presentation Microsoft the show took place new shooter trailer Halo infinite from the team 343 Industries… And despite the fact that the premiere of the project should take place before the end of this year, the exact release date has not been disclosed. As explained Phil Spencer, there is a perfectly understandable reason for this decision.

According to the head of the team Xboxfeatured on the internet podcast Dropped Frames, Microsoft leadership has already decided on the approximate release date Halo infinite – the company has a target range in 3-4 weeks, however, the final day has not yet been determined, so the developers do not want to make premature announcements.

“We have outlined a range of 3-4 weeks. The exact day of the premiere has not yet been chosen. There are several subtleties related to the release of other games that we try to keep in mind. Until the end of the summer the situation will become clearer, but, again, we are not choosing from several months, and from several weeks.

Instead of setting a date in advance, and then postponing the exit again, which for us would be tantamount to failure, we decided to wait a bit to make a final decision. The team is fully tuned in for the holiday season – no caveats, ”explained Phil Spencer.

According to the original plans, the release Halo infinite was expected last year – simultaneously with the launch of the consoles Xbox series x and Xbox series s… However, at the last moment Microsoft decided to postpone the shooter, giving the developers the necessary time to finalize it.

Already on the day of launch Halo infinite will be available in the service Xbox Game Pass… The project will visit all current consoles Microsoftincluding Xbox one, Xbox series x, Xbox series s, as well as PC
