Organizers Game Developers Conference 2023 conducted a large-scale survey among game developers and found that the most popular platform among them continues to be PC. Mobile devices are in second place.
The survey also showed that most studios are not yet ready to give up consoles of the current generation. At the same time, quite a lot of specialists are preparing crossgen projects.
A group of developers (a total of 4,000 people participated in the survey) was asked several questions. How the answers were distributed – see below.

What was meant by the answer xCloud, it is not entirely clear, since Microsoft previously said that all available games on the Xbox will run in the service. The same applies to PS Now – games from PlayStation consoles are available in the catalog of this virtual platform.
The developers were also asked to answer under which platforms they would like to create a game, even if at present they have no concrete plans for this. Playstation 5 mentioned 38% of respondents Nintendo switch – 37%, Xbox Series X – 25%.
5% would like to try to create a game project for smart speakers with voice assistants, like Alexa or Google home. Yet 2% are interested in unusual portable playdate system.
