There was a reason for that: the developers forgot to run a background “gradual migration” process, which made all status changes happen in real time. To solve the problem, the Ritual-Standard migration was completely disabled, so that later it could be carried out separately. But after that, a new problem arose: players were constantly being thrown out of the server.
In addition, the creators of Path of Exile managed to completely ruin the mood of the players, skipping streamers without any queue. As it turned out, some of the broadcasters were ordered two hours of showing the new add-on, and so that the limited time would not be wasted, a preferential login was made for them.
The developers admitted that this decision was unsuccessful: players, angry with technical problems, were asked to watch someone enjoying the game, passing all the difficulties. In the future, they promised to better think about marketing campaigns – and most importantly, try to avoid queues.
