Studio Insomniac Games shared fresh details of the remaster Marvel’s Spider-Man for Playstation 5…
The developers have updated the city taking into account the advantages of the new iron. One of the main innovations, in addition to improved models and textures, is the addition of ray tracing, which makes reflections and shadows look much more realistic. Now, objects are reflected in the windows of buildings, which, combined with the updated sky and weather conditions, makes the picture even more beautiful.
In addition to the environment, character models have undergone updates, ranging from more accurate shaders of skin, eyes and teeth to individually rendered strands of hair. The authors also redid the appearance of Peter Parker – earlier the character’s face model was taken from actor John Bubnyak, while for the remaster the developers invited Ben Jordan… According to Insomniac, his appearance is more in line with the acting performance of Yuri Leventhal, who played Spider.

Other features of the remaster, such as instant downloads, spatial 3D sound and support for tactile feedback of the DualSense controller with adaptive triggers, have already been covered by the creators, but that’s not all. In addition to everything, the remaster will offer advanced photo mod options, for example, the ability to expose light sources and change Spider costumes, as well as three new skins for the main character. One of them has already been revealed to us – film fans “The new Spiderman” from Andrew Garfield must appreciate it.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered will only be available as part of Spider-Man: Miles Morales – Ultimate Edition… Owners of the standard version of Miles Morales on PS4 or PS5 will be able to upgrade to the extended edition and get access to the updated first part for $ 20. There are no other ways to play the remaster at the moment.
Earlier it became known that Sony is not planning provide Spider-Man owners on PS4 with a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version while remastering buyers will not be able to transfer save files from the original to it. In turn, Spider-Man: Miles Morales will not have such restrictions.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released concurrently with PlayStation 5 on November 19th.
