Company Paramount pictures seeks to overhaul the franchise “Transformers“and started developing scripts for two different films: one from James Vanderbilt (“Clayton Base,” “Zodiac,” “Mysterious Murder”) and another from Joby Harold (“Anesthesia”, “King Arthur’s Sword”). This was reported by Variety sources.
The details of both scenarios are still vague, but sources say that they provide an opportunity to build several storylines within one franchise.. Actors and directors have not yet been assigned to films, but the studio still considers Transformers one of its main priorities and intends to find suitable candidates for director’s chairs as soon as possible.
Launched in 2007, the Transformers series has become one of the main pillars of Paramount’s business, earning almost 5 billion dollars. The latest sixth franchise film, “Bumblebee“, came out in 2018. The tape was shot without Michael Bay and with a lower budget, while collecting excellent reviews and order $ 467 million around the world, which opened the door for the studio to continue the franchise.
