Owners of PlayStation and Xbox consoles will be able to go through Mass Effect with Russian voice acting for the first time, but there is one “but”

Remaster of the original Mass effect from the upcoming collection Legendary Edition will be available in Russia with full voice and text localization. This became known thanks to the updated section of the game on the website EA Help…

For the first time, users of game consoles will be able to play the first part of Mass Effect with Russian translationas it was previously available exclusively in “Gold Edition“on the PC and did not appear in the console versions because of the problems that arose then.

Russian translation in the games of the collection:

• Mass effect – full (voice acting and text)
• Mass effect 2 – text only
• Mass effect 3 – text only

Apparently, this particular localization was authored by the studio. Snowball and will be moved to a reprint, which in fact does not inspire optimism. Despite the lengthy work of 1 year and 80 actors involved, the translation turned out to be far from the best quality – it had problems with lip-sync, incompletely sounding phrases, overlapping voices, long pauses between words and much more. Opponents of domestic dubbing will be able to switch to English voice acting and Russian subtitles…

Together with this Twitter account PlayStation Game Size disclosed information about the size of the collection on PS4… It turned out that the American and European versions of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will occupy the hard drive of the console 67.9 GB and 87.3 GB respectively, in addition to which it will be necessary to release another 11.7 and 13.3 GB to install the first day patch.

The total weight of the collection together with update 1.01 will be approximately 80 and 101 GB… This difference is due to the large number of voice and text options available in Europe. On consoles Xbox the collection weighs 84.3 GB and is already available for preload, and on PlayStation this feature will appear two days before the release, 12th May…

Before May 31st company Electronic Arts also gives all fans of the franchise the opportunity to download a set of digital bonuses for free, which was previously part of the exclusive edition of Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.
