In February of this year, the company Microsoft introduced a new feature for consoles Xbox Series X | S entitled FPS Boostwhich increases the frame rate to 60 or 120 FPS in backward compatible titles.
Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs 2 and UFC 4 were among the first games to activate FPS Boost, after which some of the popular Bethesda and EA games received support for the technology, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 4, Prey, Battlefield 4. Star Wars: Battlefront II and Titanfall 2. In total, FPS Boost is currently working in 23 projects, but soon their number may increase significantly.
This was hinted at by the senior editor of The Verge. Tom Warren, pointed out in one of his recent Fleet tweets that 60/120 FPS support should get even more 50 games on Xbox Series… It is not yet known when exactly this will happen, but given that Microsoft has promised to regularly add FPS Boost to games, the wait should not be too long.
