The developers call their project a “new generation shooter.” Much attention is paid to role-playing elements. In cutscenes, dialog boxes are even found – as in full-fledged role-playing games.
Despite the existence of a cooperative, Outriders is presented primarily as a story-driven game (the authors filmed more than three hours of screen savers), and not just another service multiplayer action movie, although additional content will definitely appear after the release.
Users will have the opportunity to create their character in the editor and assign him one of the three battle classes. When combined with other gamers, everyone will see their own hero in commercials as a protagonist.
There is no open world in Outriders. The planet consists of both vast hub locations and relatively corridor spaces. Missions usually end with a boss battle.
The game is sharpened by the features of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
