The team is aiming for a stable 60 FPS with ray tracing on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, Willans said, but is unable to name a final resolution yet. The authors continue to optimize the game for the Xbox Series S – the closest benchmark for performance is the Xbox One X.
In addition, support for the DualSense controller features will be announced in more detail in the coming weeks. The authors promise intuitive archery and felt fatigue when using melee weapons when the character is exhausted.
At the start, players will have 5 maps and 4 character classes, but after the release, the authors promise free maps, new modes and characters. Updates will be released approximately every 3-4 months. The seasons will be dedicated to the pagan calendar.
In the same interview, Willans noted that the future of the game will help shape the needs of the audience. For example, developers can add a PvE story mode, as well as work on a competitive component, including clans, leagues, ranked games, observer mode, and more.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends will be released on May 10 on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One and PC. For pre-ordering, players will have access to the game three days earlier and a skin for each character and their weapons. The Year 1 Edition is also available for pre-order, which also includes the Battle Passes for the first three seasons.
