May 14th Nintendo announced new game in the series Paper mariosubtitled The origami king. The platform holder promises to release the project on the Nintendo Switch in July 2023. However, the Japanese company presented the first details of the upcoming game.
In Paper Mario: The Origami King, players are invited to return to the vibrant paper world and, together with Mario and Luigi, attend the origami festival in the Mushroom Kingdom. However, the upcoming holiday is overshadowed by one small detail: Princess Peach has been acting somewhat strangely lately.
King Ollie, the self-proclaimed ruler of the Origami Kingdom, developed an insidious plan and decided to bend the whole world under him. He wrapped the princess’s castle with a giant colored serpentine and moved it to a distant mountain. Turning Bowser’s henchmen into an origami soldier, Ollie took them to his service.
To win the hard fight, Mario is exploring several new tricks, including the ability called 1000-Fold Arms (Hands of a Thousand Folds), which allows you to interact with the outside world. In particular, discover new ways, solve puzzles and look for unexpected surprises.
Well-established friends and new allies will come to the rescue of players in Paper Mario: The Origami King. Among them will be the good-natured sister of King Olivia and even Bowser, who has not succumbed to Olli’s origami tricks and is ready to lend a helping hand to Mario.
In addition, Paper Mario: The Origami King will offer players a new circular combat system that allows you to “be smart and line up dispersed enemies in one line to inflict maximum damage.”
“Although the enemies are made of paper, these turn-based battles will turn out to be really hot, and the sharpness of mind will decide which side will win,” says Nintendo.
Mario’s new comedy adventure will delight owners of the Nintendo Switch with a well-developed world, crazy mini-games and a lot of puzzles.
The pre-order for Paper Mario: The Origami King is already open, the game can be purchased at Nintendo eShop for the price of 4499 rubles.

“This game marks the debut of the series on the Nintendo Switch, complementing the already extensive platform library with another outstanding game in your favorite franchise.”
Paper Mario: The Origami King will be released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on July 17, 2023.
