Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO He confirmed that he was developing his own mobile processor. This was stated by Vice President Liu Bo in an interview with the publication Caixin. According to him, the development of our own single-chip systems should become the driving force behind OPPO growth in the future, despite the complexity of this.
The company has already hired several employees from MediaTek, although it is not yet clear on the basis of what developments it is planned to create chips. At the moment, the manufacturer’s products use solutions QualcommMediaTek and Samsung.
So far, the company does not specify any timelines for new items on the market, nor their specifications, nor commercial name. But obviously, this is an attempt to dissociate itself from other companies amid the situation with Huawei.
